Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Job Description
The selected candidate will conduct research in using recycled materials such as fly ash, scrap tires, etc in civil engineering applications. Background in cement chemistry and/or geopolymers is desired. Experience in both modeling and experimental research on microstructure and kinetics of construction materials is a plus. The tasks of the candidate include but not limited to prepare progress and final reports, presentations for conferences and meetings, proposals related to the group's research interest for external funding, and attend the research group meeting. The candidate is expected to work with graduate and undergraduate research students to publish peer-reviewed technical manuscripts. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Chemistry, Material Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. The candidate should be a self-motivated and strongly interested in academia and research. The selected candidate should have excellent technical writing abilities and strong communication skills with fluency in both spoken and written English. Strong research and publication record are required. The candidate should be an independent, a team player, and a result oriented researcher.
