(MTSI) is seeking an Air Dominance (ADOM) Flight Test Engineer in Niceville, FL who will provide technical and project management assistance to the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Test Center (AATC) in support of Air Dominance flight test programs as an operational/developmental test representative and flight test engineer. Responsibilities
As an Air Dominance (ADOM) Flight Test Engineer with MTSI, you will provide technical and project management assistance to the Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Test Center (AATC) in support of Air Dominance flight test programs as an operational/developmental test representative and flight test engineer. Technical support will overlap systems integration amongst all F-15 and F-35 mission sets performed by Guard and Reserve forces, and duties will include, but not be limited to software candidate management; test plan formulation; test infrastructure scheduling and management; software configuration control; test conduct; data management; data analysis; solution proposals and management. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for interfacing with USAF Test Enterprises and providing input to developing open architecture systems for this mission area. Primary responsibilities are to:
Assess new technologies, plan/execute/report on AATC F-35 flight tests and advise government personnel on changes and technical developments in F-15 and F-35 systems technologies. Work closely with AATC Directors, Program Offices, and industry vendors to implement commercial and/or government off-the-shelf and developmental improvements. Be responsible for both conceptual and technical implementation of required software and hardware architectures. The candidate should be well-versed in data analysis along with various software and hardware tools to enable these. Have a firm understanding of Air Force test processes as well as the operation and tactical applications of airborne systems and their interfaces. Directly support AATC in the development of advanced combat systems from cradle to grave in an independent, high-energy environment and will operate in multidisciplinary teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, scientists, pilots, and other aircrew.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years' of experience in operational/developmental test, software testing, or practical engineering.
- Must possess a strong desire to learn new systems and propose new ideas for warfare subsystem design and/or integration.
- Must have a strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Should have good analytic skills and be capable of operating in a multi-tasking environment.
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills and proficient in productivity software suites such as Microsoft Office.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5 years' experience in software testing and engineering and/or flight test in support of military acquisitions/sustainment.
- USAF or equivalent Test Pilot School graduate.
- Familiarity with Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars, air to air weapon systems, aircraft data links, infrared phenomenology, open mission systems, and 5th Gen Aircraft.
- Background in special access programs. Familiarity with Aircraft Ethernet Bus and MIL-STD-1553.
Education Requirements:
- B.S. in technical discipline is required, preferably in engineering (astronautical, aeronautical, electrical, computer, mechanical, systems) or computer science.
- Master's degree in a technical discipline is desired.

Travel Requirements:
- Travel expected approximately monthly with typical trips occurring intraweek. Travel may be up to 30% as AATC F-35 program matures at Eglin AFB FL. Occasional OCONUS travel may be required.
