Position Summary: One of Vaco's clients is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will come from a large regional CPA or consulting firm, with strong technical accounting expertise and a growing track toward a leadership role. This person will be a key team member, contributing to financial operations, process improvements, and preparing for future financial growth. Key Responsibilities: * Support annual budgets and periodic forecasts. * Consolidate financial results across business units using Hyperion Essbase. * Operate as a utility player for financial close, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations across multiple business units. * Support internal and external audits, manage PBC lists, and provide schedules and support as needed. * Support financial deliverables related to taxes alongside internal and external team members. * Identify process improvement opportunities and implement more efficient financial practices. * Prepare internal financial reporting packages and perform related financial analysis (such as reviewing KPIs and variance explanations) on a monthly basis. * Support day-to-day operational tasks, including cash management and renewal of financial instruments. * Provide financial oversight for growing team and aid in developing SOPs. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance * CPAis preferred or a willingness to pursue licensure. * 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or corporate accounting role. * Public accounting or large consulting background * Experience in a manufacturing or CPG (inventory) environment is a must. * Experience with financial consolidations in large, complex organizations. * Ability to handle broad financial responsibilities with strong technical accounting skills (debits, credits, journal entries). * Ability to be a high-energy, motivatedteam player with a growth mindset. * Ability to work autonomously while wearing many hats in a growing company. * Excellent communication skills - able to collaboratewith various stakeholders. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment. * Strong process improvement orientation. * Flexible and adaptable - eager to contribute toward growing financial operations.
