Facilities Maintenance Technician What this job involves:

At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way through exceptional facilities management and maintenance. We're seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician who will operate our facility safely and efficiently while adhering to all applicable government and regulatory requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs across mechanical, plumbing, structural, control, and fire/life safety systems. What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Safely operate facility systems while demonstrating and enforcing safety rules, behaviors, and protocols
  • Identify potential safety hazards, assess risks, and participate in incident investigations when necessary
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire/life safety systems
  • Maintain HVAC equipment at optimal performance levels through cleaning, inspecting, and replacing parts as needed
  • Record system readings and make appropriate adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation
  • Monitor and evaluate the pricing and work quality of outside contractors
  • Review monthly Client Service Request summaries to identify and address recurring operational issues
  • Respond professionally and promptly to customer inquiries and maintenance requests
  • Assist the Facility Management team during emergency situations such as fire alarms, chemical spills, or hazardous conditions
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace while following proper protocols for hazardous materials handling
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of college, related trade schooling, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of four years' experience in facilities/building maintenance or HVAC/refrigeration
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to perform all work using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Thorough knowledge of building systems to optimize operating costs and meet customer requirements
  • Experience with thermodynamic, electrical, and/or mechanical systems, and computer-controlled equipment
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, including Word and Excel
  • Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Joint Commission or DNV in a healthcare facility
  • HVAC or CFC certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Team-oriented mindset and collaborative approach
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
