Budget Analyst Budget Management Team This is a 12-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA. Summary We're seeking a highly analytical and self-driven Budget Analyst to join the Budget Management team. This role plays a key part in managing budgets and relationships across functional teams, ensuring financial accuracy, and driving strategic budget planning and analysis in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Our Ideal Candidate 5-7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or budgeting Passion for financial operations and business strategy with a strong foundation in forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis Proficient in Excel with strong data reconciliation, financial modeling, and analysis skills Familiar with fiscal planning, P&L analysis, and budget tracking methodologies Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business and creative partners Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a matrixed environment Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, systems, and tools Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail Experience in business, creative, or marketing organizations is preferred Job Description In this role, you will manage, forecast, and report on budgets for various functional teams and business units. You'll partner with internal stakeholders to conduct financial analysis, support budget meetings, and provide insights to help drive cost-effective decisions. This includes managing actual spend vs. forecast, presenting variance explanations, and implementing process improvements. You will also maintain documentation, support audits, reconcile invoices and PO balances, and track expenses to ensure compliance and accuracy, supporting the team's financial planning and operational efficiency. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Background in corporate finance, business operations, or budget planning Experience in marketing or creative teams is a plus Additional Requirements Please include a resume highlighting relevant financial or budgeting experience This opportunity is located in Culver City, CA and requires hybrid on-site work The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $58.00 - $61.70 per hour This position may be eligible for benefits such as PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements Mathys+Potestio values applicants of all backgrounds and experiences.
