What's involved in this role:

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician in Hull, Iowa.

The Laboratory Technician position is responsible for conducting all necessary tests on product samples and plant environment to ensure quality products and sanitary operating conditions.

• Accurately test samples, analyze results, and convey information to managers and supervisors, while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.
• Collect and prepare finished product samples to conduct accurate analytical testing and retest if necessary.
• Test all daily samples accurately in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Ensure sanitary operating conditions in the laboratory and plant areas.
• Acquire weekly environmental swabs and sponges to ensure sanitary requirements are met.
• Clean and sanitize laboratory.
• Accurately test, record, and convey all testing in a timely manner.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment at their designated frequency to ensure accuracy.
• Run all samples in a timely fashion so results can be reviewed by management.
• Enter data results on worksheets.
• Record results in SAP.

What you need to join our team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or some coursework in Food Science/Chemistry/Biology preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Laboratory or food manufacturing experience preferred.

Hull, Iowa
