Test the design and effectiveness of internal financial reporting systemsand financial controls for assigned clients. Apply U.S. Generally AcceptedAccounting Principles (GAAP), InternationalFinancial Reporting Standards (IFRS), U.S. Generally Accepted AuditingStandards (GAAS), and International Standards on Auditing (ISA); Conductexternal audits for clients withoperations in multiple countries, including the U.S., Japan, Korea, and China.Support Group and Component audits. Research technical accounting issues.Review audit work papers. Review multinational clients' compliance withJapan SOX (J-SOX), Korea SOX (K-SOX) and China SOX (C-SOX), as applicable.Ensure effective oversight and coordination of the audit processwith Group and Component auditors. Understand and utilize KPMG's AuditExecution Guide. Assist with account functions, including billing, fee analysis,and new service development. Identify performance improvementopportunities for assigned clients. Demonstrate in-depth accounting and auditknowledge. Pursue business development opportunities. Establishand maintain client relationships and professional networks .WORKSCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) JOBREQUIREMENTS: Musthave a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, BusinessAdministration, Management, or a related field, and 2 years of related workexperience; OR a Bachelor's degreeor foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,Management, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressiverelated work experience. Musthave an active Michigan CPA license. Ofthe required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following:Applying U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and InternationalStandards for Financial Reporting(IFRS); Applying U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) andInternational Standards on Auditing (ISA); Testing systems, applicationcontrols, and manual controls forfinancial reporting; Evaluating compliance with Japan SOX (J-SOX), Korea SOX(K-SOX) or China SOX (C-SOX), financial reporting controls testing frameworks;Applying Group Auditing Standards,in accordance with SAS 122, as a component or a group team, includingdeveloping group audit instructions, performing risk assessment of components,and review of component auditor'sworkpapers; Using Data and Analytics Tools, including: Idea, Alteryx, Power BI,and Mindbridge in the context of performing risk assessment and substantiveaudit procedures; Conductingaudits for clients in the Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive sectors; andTesting internal accounting procedures and communicating findings to clients. Travelto various locations throughout the U.S. up to 5% is required. Telecommutingmay be permitted within commutable distance from the office location dependingon business need.
