Focus: Olin is seeking an experienced, high-energy, dynamic Site Leader to join our winning team and drive manufacturing operations and related activities at our McIntosh, Alabama (Southern AL) site.
The McIntosh Site is an integrated chlor-alkali complex with more than 200 employees. Working with a team of senior managers, the McIntosh Site Leader will have overall responsibility for directing, planning and coordinating site operations, engineering, maintenance, materials movement, quality control, environmental, health and safety - including emergency response - and continue moving the site forward on its asset strategy transformation.
Plant Manager Essential Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes site vision and strategy, including asset strategy implementation overall accountability.
- Oversees site operations to ensure safety, production efficiency, quality, customer satisfaction and cost-effective management of resources.
- Monitors established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports and injury reports.
- Ensures site target scorecard is accurate and visible to all employees.
- Works closely with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) to drive a strong personal safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals.
- Develops and implements effective preventative maintenance strategies in conjunction with the site Maintenance leader.
Efficiently controls costs and delivers financial targets. - Manages personnel planning, staffing, and performance processes. Supports the growth and development of the site and its employees by participating in and leading strategic initiatives.
- Engages with the local community, agencies and authorities representing the sites interests and while maintaining trust and positive relationships.
Plant Manager Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree* in Engineering or other technical field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years combined related chemical operations and manufacturing, maintenance and engineering experience.
- Chlor-alkali experience preferred.
- Proven ability to successfully lead a medium to large manufacturing site and teams, with a focus on continuous improvement for people and processes.
- Minimum 5 years larger/medium team leadership.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, and advanced coaching skills.
- Minimum 5 years asset leadership.
- Knowledgeable of federal, state, and local environmental and workplace standards as they apply to operating areas, including OSHA, EPA, USCG, and DOT.
- Previous experience / broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies.
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.
