As a Sales Development Manager at Constant Contact, you will lead, coach, and motivate a team of 6-8 Outbound Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). This role drives the top of the sales funnel by ensuring exceptional outbound prospecting and coaching the SDR team to exceed qualified opportunity goals for Constant Contact's Indirect organization. We seek a competitive, metric-driven, collaborative, and energetic leader with strong sales development acumen to optimize outbound processes in a fast-paced environment.


What you'll do:
Team Leadership:

  • Manage 6-8 Outbound Sales Development Representatives, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor SDRs in outbound prospecting techniques (cold calling, email, social selling) to exceed qualified opportunity targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to enhance team skills.


Sales Development Strategy and Execution:

  • Analyze key outbound prospecting metrics (e.g., call volume, open rates, meeting set rates) to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership.
  • Develop innovative strategies to boost individual and team pipeline generation and meeting set rates.
  • Ensure accountability for daily, weekly, and monthly outbound activity and qualified opportunity targets.


Prospect Engagement Focus:

  • Maintain high standards for professional outbound engagement, preparing prospects for sales conversations.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex prospecting challenges, providing resolution and coaching.


Operational Management:

  • Monitor sales development metrics and generate reports for data-driven decisions on outbound performance.
  • Manage CRM (Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms (Salesloft, Outreach) for accurate activity and opportunity records.
  • Drive efficiency in outbound prospecting via technology, automation, and workflow improvements.


Who you are:

  • 3+ years outbound SDR/BDR experience (high-volume preferred).
  • 2-4 years sales management experience, ideally leading an outbound SDR team.
  • SaaS sales experience, exceeding pipeline generation expectations.
  • Fosters positive team culture, supports success, and thrives on competition.
  • Passionate about developing and coaching outbound prospecting talent.
  • Brings energy, positivity, and a fun-loving attitude; collaborative and open to feedback.
  • Adept at helping small businesses succeed through effective outreach.
  • Proven ability to sell services/technology to small businesses preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for outbound prospecting performance decisions.
  • Comfortable with feedback; adept at managing change.
  • Salesforce and sales engagement platform (Salesloft, Outreach) experience a plus.
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in our office at times.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
