As a Security Officer - Healthcare Front Desk in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, managing badge entry, and assisting visitors and staff with security-related inquiries. Your presence at the front desk helps to deter incidents and supports a welcoming environment. You will utilize computer or tablet systems as part of your daily duties and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
• Maintain detailed records of visitor and employee check-ins and check-outs, as well as any security-related incidents.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
• Support a welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access or activities at the front desk area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
