Must live in or be willing to relocate back to Honolulu, HI MEET THE TEAM Our Public Sector organization supports government entities at the national, state, and local levels to protect, educate, and serve citizens. We focus on six key market verticals: Civilian, Defense, Education, Healthcare, Intel, and State/Local Government. You will join a dynamic Hawaii-based team of Account Managers and partner closely with talented Systems Engineers. YOUR IMPACT As an Account Manager in Cisco's Public Sector organization, you'll play a vital role in helping government and public entities transform their operations through Cisco's cutting-edge technologies. Build and maintain executive relationships with key decision-makers, including CXOs, to drive business outcomes. Lead account planning and partner collaboration to create demand and close deals. Develop and execute a sales strategy for your territory, achieving quota and forecasting goals. Negotiate solutions with customers, partners, and peers using a win-win approach. Address complex technical accounts and replace incumbent solutions to expand Cisco's footprint. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of experience selling solutions to customer executives with a focus on business and mission outcomes. - Proven expertise in managing a sales strategy and territory while coordinating resources to support your vision. - Strong understanding of government contracts, procurement vehicles, and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDPICC). - Extensive experience selling into large accounts and delivering complex solutions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially at the CXO level. - Knowledge of data networking, collaboration, FSO, and security technologies. - Demonstrated success in developing multi-year business strategies and achieving customer success. - Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams to drive results. - Self-starter with a passion for solving customer challenges and driving innovation. #WEARECISCO #WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
