Summary

The Office of Alumni Engagement's (OAE) mission is to deliver an enhanced experience for our alumni by focusing on commercial connectivity, engagement and community. The GS Alumni Network consists of 1,000+ partner alumni and 115,000+ former employees, located in more than 100 countries, many of whom are serving as leaders in business, government, the arts, educational institutions and philanthropic organizations.

The OAE is responsible for connecting GS alumni to the people and thought leadership of the firm, as well as to the broader alumni community to drive commercial outcomes, facilitate networking and business collaborations. Our alumni efforts are organized across four pillars: 1) offboarding, 2) engagement, 3) benefits and investment opportunities and 4) commercial opportunity.

Role Responsibilities

We are seeking an associate to support the commercial pillar and our One GS Alumni program. The One GS Alumni program is an effort to more formally cover our alumni. Through the program, our team works with GS senior coverage people to establish a dialogue with alumni, act as a relationship point person on alumni related events and initiatives and if there are any commercial opportunities in other divisions, help route those to the right coverage individuals. Key responsibilities include:




  • Help formulate and execute a commercial strategy for Goldman Sachs alumni
  • Mange commercial leads and business opportunities, follow-up by coordinating cross-divisionally and interacting with senior leaders and partners of the firm
  • Leverage Salesforce and Excel to conduct data-driven analyses on our alumni population and commercial opportunities
  • Create presentation materials, for example, for the Goldman Sachs Board and internal committees
  • Drive execution and marketing of exclusive investment opportunities for partner alumni (i.e. the 1869 Fund)



Qualifications



  • Refined leadership and organization skills, able to seamlessly execute across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Commercial mindset, knowledge of the core businesses and functions across the firm
  • Strong executive presence for engaging with clients and senior leadership internally
  • Strong quantitative, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent judgement and high degree of discretion
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
