  • Portneuf Medical Center is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma and tertiary care center and home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue.

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for managing and supporting the instrumentation, supplies, and equipment within the service line with a focus on safety, efficiency, and best practices.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff understand and exhibit the basic principles of maintaining and handling equipment appropriately, and keep informed of the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and sterilizing equipment between cases.
  • In collaboration with the OR Nurse Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the education and any follow-up pertaining to the service line.
  • Responsible for the ordering and procurement of special service equipment and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Assists with educational activities and staff development programs.
  • Acts as a technical resource in a leadership role to address clinical performance, outcomes, patient satisfaction, physician satisfaction, and cost containment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certified Anesthesia Tech.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • 2-4 years OR and CVOR experience.
  • Knowledge and skill in the function and handling of supportive/adaptive patient equipment and devices.
