Job Summary

You will be responsible for leveraging data and applying Generative AI to solve complex

business problems. You will be expected to work independently and deliver high-quality analytical results on a project

basis

Responsibilities

Core Data Skills Proven experience in data mining data cleaning statistical analysis and data wrangling.

  • Programming: Advanced proficiency in Python and its core data science libraries especially pandas and

NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Database Management: Strong command of SQL for querying joining and extracting data from large and

complex datasets.

Generative AI Hands-on experience applying generative AI models and tools to business problems. Key skills

Expert Prompt Engineering Crafting effective prompts to extract insights summarize information and

generate content using models like Google Gemini or OpenAIs GPT.

Tool Use & Function Calling Creating and implementing tools for large language models to give them

access to external data and capabilities.

Data Visualization Ability to create clear and compelling data visualizations and dashboards using tools like

Matplotlib Seaborn or Tableau to communicate findings .

Proven Track Record A strong portfolio of completed projects demonstrating expertise in data analysis and the

practical application of generative AI tools.

  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate business questions

into technical solutions.

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain data-driven

insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Independence: A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously manage project timelines and deliver on

schedule .

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $128K - $150K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
