This is a PRN position located at Suburban Hospital

Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed, not-for-profit, community-based hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. The Nurse Practitioner will plan, direct, and evaluate employee health care in Employee Occupational Health services; examine employees to determine their ability to perform the essential functions of their job; performs selected laboratory testing; offer referrals to physicians, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment. Provides patient centered, specialized, evidence based advanced practice nursing care to workers in a health care setting through an inter-professional approach to treatment, education and advocacy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:



  • Current licensure and certification as a registered nurse in the jurisdiction of the participating organization where assigned (Maryland, District of Columbia or Florida)
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the jurisdiction of the participating organization where assigned (Maryland , District of Columbia or Florida)



Work Experience:

Requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience, preferably in an Occupational Medicine, Emergency Department, Outpatient or Urgent Care setting





Education:



  • Completion of Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Completion of accredited NP program in area of specialty (e.g. Adult, Family, Geriatrics or Occupational Medicine).
  • Certification through American Board of Occupational Health Nursing (ABOHN) as a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S) preferred




Salary Range: Minimum $53.15/hour - Maximum $82.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
