SLS Insurance - Digital Operations / BPO Sales
Cognizant's Insurance (INS) Markets is seeking a Service Line Sales Specialist-Digital Operations to be actively involved in continuing to grow our insurance footprint and assist the Insurance practice in growing key Insurance accounts. In this role, the Client Services Executive will balance client/project responsibilities with business development and sales responsibilities including identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities. The position also requires working with and leveraging a top-notch client management and consulting team. The individual will be responsible for overseeing high quality delivery while developing strategies and tactics for further penetrating the account and cross selling CTS's emerging services. The SLS will support the accounts in achieving "trusted advisor" status and have a mix of strategic and tactical management experience.
In this role you will
Market Leadership: builds sales strategies and plan for the Insurance practice and for its incorporation into the broader client strategy and plan. Contribute by bringing in new client relationships which is required to grow the Insurance practice of Cognizant
Relationship Management: completes and manages the account plan and Dedicates time to improving existing client relationships. Participates in reviews and provides educated and relevant perspectives
Business Development: responds to and delivers on client requests; responds to RFP's. Identifies opportunities in BPS/Ops space, makes proactive proposals to client in line with account strategy. Obtains approvals to pursue opportunities. Engage the relevant team for solutions.
In collaboration with Insurance vertical team and/or other horizontals:
- Proactively propose/recommend solutions that are aligned with business priorities, receive agreement and are delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Identify short-term change initiatives ("quick wins") in close cooperation with business and technology leadership, in order to help bolster long term partnership
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of overall relationships in their area, program risks, issues, conflicts, priorities, communications ensuring the delivery of new capabilities.
What you need to be considered
- 7 years of Sales Experience focused on Selling BPS/Automation Solutions with at least 3 yrs Ins (L&A) insurance experience is desired
- Previous experience in account management with P&L responsibility of $5 Million+ with consistent track record of securing YoY growth
- Experience and track record in successful delivery of technical/ management consulting services, preferably gained at a top-tier consulting firm.
- Executive level experience in the areas of resource management (financial, cost and asset), preferably with a mix of consulting and operations experience.
- Exceptional client relationship skills and experience.
- Strong management experience with excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, change management, and risk management.
- Business process transformation experience focused on customer experience, simple solutions, and automation/efficiency.

- Being able to work with client executives and Business teams to create and recommend an enterprise Operations strategy
- Consistent record of growing business successfully over the years through strong client relationships and a deep understanding of the insurance Operations industry.
- Able to engage COO-level and COO-1 level executives in detailed BPS deal, solution, transition, and transformation shaping discussions.
- Effectively communicates with collaborators at all levels including COO, LoB Owners, and their direct reports.
- Life and Annuities Insurance - Should have extensive understanding of L&A solutions with knowledge in Insurance Quoting and Insurance Products with additional domain expertise in Annuities Claim Management Agency Management and Life and Annuities Insurance
- Lead large-scale teams including business, technology, and multiple third-party suppliers
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, particularly with highly diverse teams.
- Build relationships: strengthening partnerships by focusing on exceptional client experience, risk management and value realization built on the foundation of Cognizant leadership capabilities.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $160,000-$175,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
