Responsibilities

Page is seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in interior design to join our Houston, TX office. This position offers the opportunity to lead dynamic project teams across a wide range of market sectors, including Corporate Commercial, Higher Education, Government, Healthcare, and other complex project types. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can manage both large and small design teams, deliver technically sophisticated projects, and foster strong relationships with clients. This is a client-facing and team-facing role with significant growth potential. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance of the architecture and engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. You will serve as a key representative of the firm, shaping the client experience and potentially contributing to business development efforts as needed.

  • Forecast and organize project team for design, development, production, and project document delivery.
  • Coordinate with consultants, team members and the client.
  • Successfully execute projects by following Page's and Owner's protocols and procedures to reach the best solution.
  • Develop strong client, consultant, and collaborator relationships.
  • Understand budget, code, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project team.
  • Collaborate on project fee development and project proposals.
  • Provide overall management of A/E team(s), delegating project tasks as required.
  • Develop and maintain project work plans.
  • Develop and maintain contractual agreements.
  • Ensure budget and schedule compliance.
  • Overall responsibility for consultant activities.
  • Serve as single point of contact with the client, managing the client's expectations and experience.
  • Chair client meetings.
  • Continue education through seminars and participation in professional organization activities.
  • May participate in business development opportunities for the firm including assisting in responses to RFPs, making project presentations, calling on prospects, networking, writing articles and participating in professional seminars.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in similarly complex projects across diverse project sectors.
  • Bachelor's Degree in architecture or interior design.
  • Experience with all multiple project sizes.
  • Experienced in all phases of architectural scope of services from programming to construction administration.
  • Proven effectiveness organizing, leading, and coordinating with contractors, architectural teams, and consultants.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.
  • Confident with public speaking and networking.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Must possess strong analytical skills with a strategic orientation, as well as conceptual thinking skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized with proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Pursuing professional license preferred.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • Adaptable and objective with strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with peers, subordinates, consultants, contractors and clients constructively.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Understands and works collaboratively within the firm's organizational structure.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold team members accountable to deadlines and commitments.
  • Demonstrates leadership that aligns with the firm's values.
  • Excellent grasp of fundamentals and knowledge of theoretical and practical developments in the field.
  • Ability to generate and maintain a work plan.
  • Excellent time management skills.
