Divisional Overview

The Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm.

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity and are from diverse academic backgrounds. The Integrated Travel & Expense (IT&E) team, under the Spend Management pillar, oversees the firm's global travel program, ensuring cost-effectiveness, compliance with policies, and a positive travel experience for employees.

Travel is a cornerstone for our business and our professionals are responsible for strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a commercially effective global program that enables the flow of business and maximizes traveler efficiency. The team partners with senior leadership, business owners, engineering, product finance, strategic sourcing, and risk teams to shape the strategic vision, growth and transformation of the services and achieve divisional OKRs. Through excellent project, program, and change management skills, along with a bias for becoming the subject matter or technical expert, this team seeks to fulfill the vision of our clients, partners and employees.

Role Overview

The Travel Analyst within IT&E is a critical member of the team, supporting the end-to-end experience from travel to expense. They will assist in managing day to day travel operations with a primary focus on ensuring seamless delivery of services by key travel vendors including the Travel Management Company (TMC), airlines, hotels, ground transportation providers and technology providers (including the travel booking platform). The role will ensure consistent global operations and adherence to established policies and procedures, identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency, and handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders, resolving complex issues efficiently.

The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with different functions across the firm, have the ability to work independently, and interact with senior professionals and global counterparts.

Key Responsibilities



  • Manage supplier relationships, including regular process and procedure documentation and issue resolution.
  • Analyze travel and spend data to identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Provide guidance on travel policies and procedures and assist with resolving travel-related issues and escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular travel reports for management, including spend analysis, compliance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify trends and patterns in travel data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the firm, including business units, finance teams, and technology groups.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of travel policies and guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with firm T&E policies, procedures, updates, and system usage.
  • Maintain up-to-date training materials and documentation.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests from various stakeholders.
  • Work with travel management company and other vendors to address traveler inquiries.
  • Participate in projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the travel program.
  • Support the implementation of new travel technologies and processes.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in travel management, airline, hotel, procurement, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working with global teams.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with travel management systems (e.g., Concur).
  • Knowledge of travel industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience with corporate card programs and management.
