Job Description The Contracts Administrator is responsible for reviewing and negotiating vendor/supplier and client/customer contracts, agreements, purchase orders and statements of work. This responsibility includes preparing responses through any necessary exceptions and edits needed to reduce risk and ultimately achieve negotiated terms with our customer or supplier. Review of various documents, by the Contracts Administrator, requires a sharp eye to detail, a firm understanding of FAR and DFARS compliance, as well as other customer compliance portals, such as System for Award Management, Exostar, and others. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for coordinating with various members of Lone Star's internal team to complete necessary tasks and documentation. The Contracts Administrator must maintain a positive professional working relationship with various stakeholders across the Lone Star organization, as well as with various levels of personnel with our customers and within our supply base. Ideal candidates are energetic professionals who do not mind wearing multiple hats and supporting multiple lines of business. Candidate must be experienced in communicating with all levels of stakeholder, including C-suite executive, able to work independently with little or no supervision, well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting a fast-paced environment and rapidly growing business. Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze and report on specific risks associated with contracts
- Create and manage a contracts negotiation and implementation strategy
- Organize and manage contracts management platform strategy
- Generate reports on status of existing agreements as required
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions
- Create standardized language for new contracts
- Prepare contracts for services, sales and purchases
- Be able to bring ideas to an effort, not just perform assigned tasks
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must have, or be capable of obtaining, at Least a DoD Secret Level Clearance.
- Experience and clear understanding of a variety of different types of contracts such as software, services, vendors, service providers, contract labor, complex government contracting including purchasing services from the US government, and being contracted by the US government (General Services Administration, Military Branches), and multi-party contracts with foreign governments and contractors (Prime Contractors, non-traditional suppliers, software providers, service providers, etc.). Contracts will be a mixture of customer-facing and supplier-facing.
- 5 years of contacts experience to include subcontracting, project management, researching, developing, negotiating, and complying with multi-jurisdictional agreements.
- Knowledge of contract administration responsibilities, systems and procedures, including the life of a contract from Request for Production to Closeout.
- Working knowledge and application of US Government contract compliance, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

- Proficient in MS Office, particularly advanced Work capabilities, Adobe.

- 10+ years of contacts experience to include subcontracting, project management, researching, developing, negotiating, and complying with multi-jurisdictional agreements.
- Understanding of mathematical analysis and expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Able to take initiative and make decisions.
- Adaptable and able to collaborate with stakeholders in all areas and all levels of Company.
Typical education and experience expectations:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other applicable discipline. Masters degree preferred.
- Clearance - Secret minimum, TS preferred.
- Ten years contract experience.
