Job Overview

The Marketing Systems Process & Solutions Specialist plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing operations. They bring a creative, solution-oriented mindset to drive strategic initiatives through business process improvement and system implementation. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and refine processes that align with organizational goals, ensuring seamless integration and adoption across departments. Responsibilities include partnering with Marketing, Merchandising, and Technology teams across Macy's, Bloomingdale's, and Bluemercury divisions to provide thoughtful, solutions-focused support for systems and processes.

What You Will Do



  • Partner with stakeholders to assess current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend enhancements that align with business goals.
  • Work closely with teams across Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, and other departments to gather insights, understand needs, and ensure cohesive process design and implementation.
  • Support the planning and execution of new system implementations, ensuring processes are properly integrated and teams are guided through the transition.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for new processes and systems. Lead training sessions to ensure team members can effectively use new tools and workflows. Clearly and promptly communicate process changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented processes, collect feedback, and recommend ongoing improvements to optimize efficiency and outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot, delegate, and track user issues to determine root causes, training needs, or system defects. Report technical issues to Technology partners and collaborate with Marketing Product and Reporting teams to prioritize fixes and enhancement requests.
  • Help teams navigate change by addressing concerns, promoting adaptability, and reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.



Skills You Will Need

Process Optimization: Identifies inefficiencies in workflows and recommends enhancements that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Builds strong partnerships across Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, and other departments to ensure cohesive, stakeholder-informed process design and implementation.

System Implementation: Supports successful implementation and integration of new systems by aligning process design with business goals and guiding teams through transitions.

Documentation & Training: Develops clear, comprehensive documentation and delivers training to ensure adoption and effective use of tools and processes.

Change Management: Demonstrates effective change management skills by addressing concerns, promoting adaptability, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Issue Resolution: Proactively troubleshoots, delegates, and tracks user issues, working with technology partners to identify root causes and prioritize enhancements.

Communication: Communicates complex concepts clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats; strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrates a proactive, diplomatic, and solution-oriented mindset with strong listening and relationship-building skills.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, process mapping tools, and both PC and Mac platforms.

Strategic Thinking: Applies creative and independent thinking to solve problems, anticipate needs, and contribute to broader strategic initiatives.

Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, large, and complex organization by being flexible, responsive, and resourceful.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 1-3 years of experience in a related area.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
