We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate nursing leader to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Director. In this multifaceted role, you will support the clinical management and administrative coordination of the Nursing System Float Team (NSFT). You will oversee staffing and operations across multiple service lines including theNSFT Women's and Children's division, Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Ambulatory Care, and UCLA West Valley Medical Center RN managerial oversight.

The position is a combination of clinical (direct care) and administrative responsibilities, including:



  • Participate in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of NSFT staff
  • Ensure staff compliance with competencies, licensure, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining accurate and current personnel files
  • Coordinate staff scheduling to meet operational needs
  • Oversee staff performance and evaluations
  • Support staff education initiatives and teaching classes, as needed
  • Oversee payroll processing
  • Conduct formal rounding to include population specific patient assessment, interaction with staff regarding patient care, and review of documentation as needed throughout the shift
  • Assess staff competencies and appropriateness of staff assignments
  • Provide direct patient care as needed
  • Proactively identify and address actual or potential patient and staff safety concerns



Salary Range: $59.67-$138.60 hourly
Qualifications

We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:



  • Current California RN license, required
  • BSN, required. MSN, preferred
  • BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required
  • 3 years of recent acute care RN experience, required
  • PICU, NICU, Pediatric, or Perinatal RN experience, preferred
  • ACLS, preferred
  • Nursing Professional Leadership Certification (NEA-BC, NE-BC, CNL, CNML preferred) or Certification in main area of Clinical practice or obtain within 12 months, preferred
  • Educational or progressive leadership positions, preferred
