Job Description
ECU Department of Physical Therapy is currently seeking several Research Assistants. Undergraduate Research Assistants in Physical Therapy will support faculty-led research projects by assisting with clinical data collection, analysis, and implementation of research protocols.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Maintaining, cleaning, organizing, and preparing lab environments
  • Recruiting and scheduling study participants
  • Administering functional assessments
  • Collecting and managing data from motion analysis or other clinical systems
  • Keeping detailed records of findings


Students may also work with analytical and clinical software such as MATLAB, Qualisys, Visual 3D, and Power BI, and contribute to literature reviews or research documentation.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential. Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.
