Job Description
ECU Department of Physical Therapy is currently seeking an Undergraduate Clinical & Teaching Support Assistant in Physical Therapy. Undergraduate Clinical & Teaching Support Assistants in Physical Therapy will contribute to both clinical operations and academic environments. This hybrid role supports faculty and clinical staff by facilitating patient care, enhancing lab and classroom experiences, and performing administrative tasks critical to clinic and course management.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with prior authorization processes for patient treatments and therapies
  • Conducting confirmation calls with patients to schedule and prepare them for clinic visits
  • Supporting therapists in supervising exercises and treatments, similar to a clinical tech role
  • Helping to set up labs and classrooms for teaching and practical demonstrations
  • Conducting literature reviews to assist with curriculum development or teaching updates
  • Assisting with the Interprofessional Student Rehabilitation Run Therapy Clinic (SRC), including patient coordination and clinic operations
  • Assisting with clinical research data collection, data analysis, and data interpretation.
