MTSI is actively searching for a Technical Program Manager Intern to join a DC-based team in the Defense Services Division, leading the design and integration effort for its USAF programs and Research and Development project.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Government in project management, acquisition support, and technical oversight of customer development efforts.
  • Work closely with Government program managers, lead project engineers, contracts, finance, and program teams.
  • Maintain awareness of day-to-day issues and plan/prepare for significant project events.
  • Assist in the full spectrum of actions required to award contracts and contract modifications to other contractor(s) that may include pre-award documentation, assistance in the support of source selection activities, and post-award support activities.
  • Review contract deliverables, integrated schedules, technical status reports, and cost performance reports to better understand the programmatic details.
  • Assist in the creation and approval of acquisition strategies, program planning and creation, early capability development strategies and project planning, and the transition of program execution to the appropriate Program Executive Officer.
  • Assist in the development and communication of roadmaps for programs and associated technologies and product lines.
  • Assist in the development of integration plans and procedures and organize resources to facilitate program transition activities.
  • Assist in milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparations, staff coordination, and decision documentation preparation.
  • Provide technical support to the entire project team and provide status updates to the Government leadership team.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior year in your collegiate academic studies.
  • Working towards degree in a technical or a business program.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools.
  • Be a self-starter, thrive in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, is skilled in problem definition, and work well with other team members.
  • Ability to learn new tools and adopt digital engineering business practices.
  • Some experience with collaboration tools including but not limited to: Confluence and/or Jira would be helpful.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly translate client technical needs and assimilate project information.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
