The Director of Global Commercial Operations is a champion of lean methodologies, kaizen, Six Sigma, or related tools, a strategic partner for the business, a connector and developer of teams, and a cultural change agent.

SUMMARY:

The Global Commercial Marketing Director is a key leader responsible for driving global demand generation, optimizing marketing ROI, and leading downstream marketing efforts across Natus Sensory's sensory product portfolio. This role manages the global commercial marketing function, shaping and executing strategies that enhance customer engagement, increase global market share, and support sustainable business growth.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Clinical, and Operations to create a unified commercial approach-owning the end-to-end customer journey and brand experience. The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing leadership with executional excellence across digital marketing, campaign management, trade shows, and lead funnel optimization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Marketing Strategy & Lifecycle Execution
    - Develop and lead global go-to-market (GTM) strategies for product launches and portfolio growth in collaboration with Product Management and Regional Sales teams.
    - Partner with Product Management to drive lifecycle marketing strategies-ensuring alignment across product positioning, messaging, and customer engagement throughout the product lifecycle.
    - Lead market segmentation and value proposition development for core and emerging markets globally.
  • Lead Generation & Demand Creation
    - Design and implement global demand generation strategies that create qualified leads and nurture them through the funnel to conversion.
    - Align closely with Sales to ensure lead quality, follow-up, and pipeline acceleration.
    - Develop lead-scoring models and funnel metrics that measure program effectiveness and drive continuous optimization.
  • Digital Marketing & Marketing ROI
    - Oversee digital marketing strategy including SEO/SEM, paid media, social media, marketing automation, email campaigns, and content development.
    - Define KPIs, track marketing performance, and drive improvements in marketing ROI through data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics.
    - Champion the use of Salesforce.com and marketing automation tools for campaign tracking, lead management, and reporting.
  • Trade Show, Events & Brand Presence
    - Manage global presence at key trade shows, regional congresses, customer events, and conferences.
    - Own booth strategy, event promotion, and pre/post-event lead capture workflows.
    - Ensure brand consistency and effective message delivery through all event and conference activities.
  • Customer & Market Insights
    - Lead global voice-of-customer (VOC) and market research programs to guide marketing strategy and provide feedback loops to Product Management.
    - Monitor competitive landscape, emerging trends, and evolving customer needs to inform positioning and messaging.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Enablement
    - Serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Product Management, and Clinical teams to align messaging and commercial strategy.
    - Build tools, training, and sales enablement materials that clearly articulate product value, clinical benefits, and competitive differentiation.
    - Manage marketing budget across regions, campaigns, and events; optimize spending for maximum ROI.

Travel Required: Some travel is required, up to 50% (international and domestic).

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly manage and lead employees, overseeing hiring, training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in global downstream marketing, demand generation, or commercial strategy in a healthcare or MedTech environment.

  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, digital marketing strategy, and trade show execution.

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare decision-making process, clinical workflows, and marketing to clinical and procurement audiences.

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience partnering with Product Management, Field Sales, and Clinical teams.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), Google Analytics, and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
