The Team:The EHS Supervisoris part of the Mattel San Bernardino Distribution Center Management team.
The Opportunity: The EHS Supervisor is responsible for reviewing health and safety protocols to evaluate the business needs as needed. By conducting safety inspections to ensure OSHA compliance. Monthly Training Sessions. Must have knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
What Your Impact Will Be:
The essential duties and responsibilities for the EHS Supervisor position include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Must have Cal-Osha knowledge Training in a DC environment.
- Bilingual- Required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint.
- Must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations to employees and management.
- Proactively manage and deliver employee Health & Safety training for existing and new employees (safety orientation program)
- Conduct on-site Health & Safety audits/ inspections to assure compliance with Corporate Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure plant is compliant with State and Federal Safety Regulations (OSHA/ Cal OSHA) and formulates recommendations for implementing best practices.
- Manage, research and recommend safety programs, policies and systems.
- Carry out near miss and accident investigation in timely fashion; Identify root cause of accidents and implement corrective actions/measures.
- Communicates and celebrates success to maintain and foster Company's commitment towards Health & Safety
- Other projects or tasks as assigned by your manager.
- Supervise Maintenance department
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises employees in accordance with the organization's policies, practices, and applicable law.
- Other supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Business, supply chain, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of experience of Health and Safety leadership role
- Knowledge of warehouse machinery, processes
- Excellent project management skills
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
- Excellent data analytics, problem-solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Access
- Self-directed, self-motivated, motivated to develop and grow.
- Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
- Proven experience managing a Maintenance Department
The annual base salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $82,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills and experience.
