Business Unit Controller

Serves as top finance and accounting leader and strategic business partner for designated business unit(s), location(s) and/or functional area(s) with a small to moderate portion of corporate revenues. Oversees coordination and preparation of financial analysis and provides management with information vital to the decision-making process.

Job responsibilities include: Provides strategic financial leadership and support on matters affecting the assigned global business unit(s) and/or location(s). Partners with business unit and company leadership to develop strategy, long range planning, and leads the business unit's financial planning process. Proactively recommends mitigating actions to help achieve planned business results. Provides insights on business performance in relation to strategies and goals; routinely analyzes and reports performance utilizing trend analyses and data analytics. Leads business analyses to advise the business and identify opportunities to drive business improvements. Leads monthly financial analysis of the business unit's results, ensuring coordination with regional and local teams. Ensures compliance with company accounting and financials policies; enable technology to manage risk and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes and systems; maintain a strong environment of internal controls. Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget.

• Fiveyears of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience, which must include:
  • Five years of experience with public accounting
  • One year of experience in financial analysis at a leadership level
  • One year of experience forecasting and developing budgets
