We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Media Buyer to manage the negotiation, placement, and stewardship of video and audio media for agency accounts. This role requires strong analytical skills, vendor negotiation expertise, and a deep understanding of media buying across broadcast TV, radio, and cable. The ideal candidate will be able to execute media buys within budget, monitor campaign performance, and foster strong media vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Media Buying & Negotiation:



  • Negotiate, place, and oversee video and audio media buys for assigned agency accounts.
  • Estimate, update, and adjust all broadcast ratings/impressions to optimize market reach.
  • Negotiate and document rates, special placements, and added value opportunities.
  • Establish solid, long-term media partnerships with vendors on behalf of clients.


Campaign Execution & Optimization:



  • Ensure strategic consistency across all media plan elements and execute campaigns within established budgets and goals.
  • Monitor campaign schedules, arrange for makegoods and credits to optimize post-buy results.
  • Track media expenditures in agency systems to ensure compliance with budget allocations.
  • Analyze and write rationale for any broadcast over or under-deliveries, ensuring compliance with industry standards (90-110 achievement index range).


Market Research & Vendor Collaboration:



  • Research industry trends, innovations, and media landscape changes that impact buying strategies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and media team members to resolve billing issues and clearance disputes.
  • Clearly and accurately communicate orders and campaign adjustments to media vendors.


Training & Professional Development:



  • Attend formal media training sessions and other programs as directed by the supervisor.
  • Continuously develop expertise in broadcast, cable, and radio media buying to stay ahead of industry trends.



Qualifications & Skills:



  • 1-3 years of experience in media buying, agency experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable speaking to and negotiating with vendor representatives.
  • Work experience in broadcast TV, radio, and cable media buying.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word

The salary range for this position is posted below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee's/applicant's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
