An IT Project Manager position is available with a manufacturing client in Columbus, Ohio. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing technology-driven projects in enterprise systems, cyber security, and workforce enablement. This role requires strong project delivery skills, a keen understanding of business and technical requirements, and the ability to build trusted relationships across business and operational teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through successful delivery.
*Build and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and status reports.
*Lead requirements definition sessions with stakeholders, document functional and technical needs.
*Apply Organizational Change Management (OCM) principles to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
*Track project milestones, manage risks and issues, and ensure timely communication with leadership and stakeholders.
*Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business operations, IT, vendors, and support teams.
*Drive project governance and ensure adherence to project management best practices.
*Enhancement of ERP, CRM, and other enterprise platforms.
*Cyber security initiatives such as identity access management, endpoint protection, and policy enforcement.
*Workforce enablement solutions such as collaboration tools, mobile access, and user experience improvements.
*Business Intelligence improvements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Preferred Bachelor"s Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field but not required
*5+ years of IT project management experience.
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
*Strong skills in project scheduling, delivery tracking, and stakeholder communication.
*Experience in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
*Familiarity with Organizational Change Management strategies and techniques.
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence across departments.
*Experience with Project Management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira and Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
*Familiarity with ERP platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and end-user computing technologies.
*Current systems in use include NetSuite, Salesforce, Office365, PowerBI, Box.com, Solidworks, rfSmart, e-commerce platforms, and StockIQ among others.
* Familiarity with flow-charting to document functional processes.
