WHAT WE OFFER The Consultant, HR Partner serves as a strategic business consultant and key interface between Covestro's business operations and HR function across the United States. This role provides expert guidance on complex organizational issues including employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation, and specialized labor relations with direct union interface and collective bargaining support. The incumbent partners with senior business leaders to drive organizational change, develop talent strategies, and resolve complex employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with employment laws and collective bargaining agreements. This position requires independent decision-making authority in sensitive labor relations situations and the ability to influence outcomes that directly impact business operations and organizational stability. Major Responsibilities: *Serves as strategic consultant to client groups and senior business managers on organizational issues of critical importance; anticipates business needs, provides realistic solutions aligned with divisional objectives, and counsels on complex individual HR issues including disciplinary actions and severance negotiations *Provides expertise in employee relations and labor relations including direct interface with union representatives, supporting collective bargaining processes, and ensuring full compliance with applicable employment legislation in partnership with head of HR Labor Relations *Executes comprehensive talent identification, development opportunities, succession planning, performance management, Merit/STI planning, and workforce planning to ensure employees are prepared for future opportunities *Conducts equity and utilization analyses of compensation programs including merit, STI, rewards and recognition and promotion; identifies compensation issues and works with specialists to resolve while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements *Partners with client groups to develop and assess effectiveness of career paths and job descriptions; ensures validity, consistency, and alignment with strategic directions across business units *Supports and executes organizational changes (including but not limited to restructuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures) providing appropriate HR solutions with consideration for union agreements and labor relations impact *Advises, coaches and consults managers in all aspects of people management, leadership development, and disciplinary decisions including face-to-face meetings with managers/employees/union representatives *Consults in close collaboration with Law/litigation on ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable employment laws, Covestro policies, and collective bargaining agreements *Effectively communicates HR products, services, programs and policies to all stakeholders; collaborates on execution of HR initiatives and local agreements with employee representatives where required *Ensures adherence to established HR processes, guidelines and tools while contributing to HR marketing/employer branding to maintain Covestro as an employer of choice WHAT YOU OFFER Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related degree with at least7 years of experience in a manufacturing setting including Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering and Labor RelationsOR Masters degree in Human Resources or related degree with at least5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting including Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering and Labor Relations *Experience in managing multi-site locations and/or project management with specialized skills in labor relations and positive employee relations *Demonstrated expertise in labor relations, union interface, and collective bargaining support Preferred Qualifications: * SHRM or HRCI certification *Advanced experience in collective bargaining and union negotiations * Knowledge of Chemical Industry and manufacturing processes * Skills in workforce planning and organizational design Knowledge and Skills: *In-depth knowledge of change management, leadership development processes, and organizational redesign * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to influence senior managers and deal effectively with ambiguity and change * Strong ability to work in teams to solve problems and implement innovative solutions, high degree of customer centricity and resilience * Skills in diagnosing organizational issues and recommending solutions; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills *General understanding of business and financial impacts derived from HR decisions and policies; communications strategy and messaging skills with ability to build long-term partnerships with internal management, staff, and worker group representatives * Ability to travel up to 15% * Knowledge of succession planning and leadership development YOUR APPLICATION Are you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
