Title Computer and Information Systems Manager Req Number INF-25-00024 Location Northern Virginia Description REQUIRED CLEARANCE Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an active polygraph. SUMMARY Best Value Technology, Inc. (BVTI) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that is looking to add a motivated, career and customer-oriented Computer and Information Systems Manager to join our team supporting federal customers in the Intelligence Community on a long-term, high-profile contract. The ideal candidate will plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities by determining the agency's technology needs and making hardware and software-related decisions to meet those needs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and oversee the onsite technical support team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs. Communicate the goals, policies, and procedures of the agency to the technical team and develop plans to implement these needs. Evaluate current technology use and needs of the agency and recommend software and hardware improvements. Oversee the backup systems. Remain current on advances in technology. Prepare and deliver operational or project progress reports. Implement and oversee operational costs and expenses. Position Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of computer and information systems principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work. Ability to explain technical problems and other solutions to those without technological training. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field of study. Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering technologies in two or more of the following areas of operation: Network Services, Client/Server Services, Software Development/Management, and Security Services. A minimum of two (2) years of technical leadership experience on projects. An active technical certification compliant with DoD 8140. CompTIA Security+ Certification Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in systems administration and network administration. Knowledge of cloud integration and development. Proficient in Windows and Linux environments. LAN and WAN experience.
