The Position

The SCC5 Project Coordinator supports the execution of the Strengthening Community Colleges Training Grant (SCC5) at Ocean County College. Reporting directly to the SCC5 Project Manager, the Coordinator will assist in the implementation and daily operations of grant activities in accordance with federal requirements and institutional objectives. This role will support communication and collaboration among consortium members, maintain documentation and data for compliance, and help coordinate outreach and student engagement efforts. The position requires strong data management skills to track, organize, and report data in alignment with grant and institutional requirements.
This position is grant-funded. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

What You Will Do
-
- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination and oversight of the SCC5 grant, ensuring that activities align with grant objectives and timelines.
- Track project milestones, compile documentation, and support reporting on grant deliverables.
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments, consortium institutions, and external partners to ensure timely communication and collaboration.
- Support the scheduling and logistics of meetings, workshops, and events associated with SCC5 activities.
- Maintain organized records for data collection, participant tracking, and grant documentation in line with compliance standards.
- Assist with identifying potential risks and roadblocks and recommends mitigation strategies to implement corrective action
- Help coordinate outreach and recruitment efforts, including events, communications, and promotional materials in collaboration with College Relations.
- Draft and edit content for grant updates, websites, newsletters, and internal reporting.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the development and monitoring of project plans.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the SCC5 Grant Policy & Procedures Manual.
- Coordinate with IT and other departments on technological needs for the project.
- Support the Project Manager with budget tracking, procurement documentation, and financial reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the SCC5 grant objectives.

The Successful Candidate Must Have
-
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of administrative, project coordination, or related experience; or an Associate's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of administrative, project coordination, or related experience.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Teams, Webex, Excel, PMS).
- Experience managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines in a team-based and/or independent environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision.

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, Business, or a related field.
- Experience supporting federal or state grant-funded initiatives.
- Familiarity with higher education or workforce development systems.
- Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project).
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills a plus.
