Accounting Manager

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our finance and accounting team. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure precision, compliance, and effectiveness in financial activities, driving the success of our client's team in Brea, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of recording and reconciling bank and credit card transactions, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Oversee revenue recognition processes, including reconciling revenue from multiple sources while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly financial statements and reports to deliver actionable insights for management and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the accounts payable (AP) process, including invoice review and approval, vendor relations, and timely payment execution.
  • Lead the accounts receivable (AR) function, encompassing billing, collections, and accurate revenue recognition.
  • Conduct routine general ledger account reviews and assist in preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to meet regulatory requirements and streamline annual audits and tax filings.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance and accounting operations.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited U.S. institution.
  • 4+ years of recent experience in full-cycle corporate general ledger (GL) accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including expertise in pivot tables, all LOOKUP functions, subtotals, and filters.
  • Solid understanding of maintaining a Chart of Accounts and financial statement relationships.
  • Recent experience managing accounts payable and receivable teams and processes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrates ownership, a proactive approach to complex responsibilities, and a desire to grow professionally.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
