Job Objective: Responsible for performing cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance to maintain the appearance, safety and security of the building and grounds. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: Janitorial and/or custodian experience preferred; however, employer is willing to train Skill and Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: Volunteer or Community service for Janitorial Physical Requirements: Include standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods of time; lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Travel: Local only Driving: Driving is required. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence. Must be approved and maintain approval through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety program to drive either a Salvation Amy or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Working Conditions: Work is performed in part in a typical office environment/community-friendly programming setting as well as chapel rooms. This is a part-time position that may require occasional weekend and evening work.
