We are looking for a Regional Traffic Manager with exceptional leadership and organizational skills to manage a remote team responsible for ensuring the smooth trafficking of radio content across multiple markets. As a key member of the Traffic Department, you will oversee the creation of daily program logs, ensure optimal inventory management, and guarantee the effective execution of advertising campaigns across CMG radio markets.

In this role, you'll manage a team of traffic specialists, working closely with sales, creative teams, and programming to streamline processes, resolve issues, and maintain operational efficiency. You'll be instrumental in ensuring all advertising schedules are accurate, compliant with contractual agreements, and delivered on time.

Location: Remote (Based in Atlanta or any CMG Radio Market: Athens, GA, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Long Island, Dayton, Tulsa, San Antonio)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and Supervise: Manage, mentor, and guide a remote team of traffic specialists. Provide coaching, training, and professional development to enhance team performance.
  • Maximize Inventory & Revenue: Oversee trafficking of spots, adjust logs, and schedule makegoods to ensure maximum inventory utilization and revenue generation.
  • Schedule Management: Ensure the creation of daily program logs for multiple stations is accurate, complete, and compliant with client contracts.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously review and refine traffic and scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Issue Resolution: Address scheduling conflicts and operational issues in real time, ensuring minimal disruption to programming and advertising schedules.
  • Software Oversight: Lead the use of WideOrbit and vCreative software for scheduling and troubleshooting. Ensure that the team uses the software optimally and reports any issues promptly.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, programming, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of on-air content and successful advertising campaigns.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze reports on inventory usage, campaign performance, and other key metrics to assess efficiency and optimize operations.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all traffic operations comply with industry regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Staff Development: Lead the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of the traffic team. Occasionally travel to different radio markets to provide training and support.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in traffic management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of broadcast scheduling systems, including at least 1 year of experience with WideOrbit and vCreative.
  • Proven experience managing remote teams, with a track record of coaching, mentoring, and improving team performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely ad placements and log creation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly address last-minute changes and scheduling conflicts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexible work schedule, with availability to work non-traditional hours based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, media, or a related field.
