About the Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Pidwin you will be responsible for developing revenue generating features that excite and entertain our users. This includes creating in-house games, improving on the functionality of prior games, developing sleek front-end components, and the implementation of scalable, efficient backend logic. This is a 100% in-office role based in Miami.

The engineers at Pidwin take pride in their products and their work. You will contribute to architecture and design decisions and will have full autonomy in implementing features. We are not interested in micromanaging work, but rather value efficiency, performance, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features from design to implementation, including Next.js/React frontend components and Node.js/Express APIs.
• Design and optimize MongoDB queries and schemas using Mongoose to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and readability.
• Write and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure reliability and minimize regressions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Follow best practices for authentication, authorization, and data protection to enhance application security.
• (Optional) Contribute to improvements in our CI/CD workflows and infrastructure as the product scales.

Key Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or backend engineer.
• Proficiency in React and Next.js, with a strong understanding of TypeScript.
• Solid experience building and maintaining Node.js APIs and backend services.
• Experience designing efficient MongoDB schemas and queries.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Experience writing automated tests with Jest (unit and integration tests), and understanding of testing best practices.
• Ability to work independently on features from start to finish.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Must be based in Miami and available to work 100% in-office
• Authorization to work in the United States.

  Preferred Qualifications
  
• Knowledge of security best practices, including protecting sensitive data, securing APIs, and handling authentication flows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS infrastructure.
• Interest in cryptocurrency or blockchain technologies.
• Previous experience in the gaming or iGaming industry.

The salary range for this position $150,000 - 215,000. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's location, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.

• Strong expertise in security best practices including DDoS protection and secure data handling.
