JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Infrastructure Division within Penn State Information Technology is looking for a Part-Time IT Applications Specialist to join the Enterprise Networks and Communication Services (ENCS) Network and Design team. The Infrastructure Division provides a world-class set of technologies and services to a world-class university, providing solutions and platforms on which the Penn State community can do great things.

This position requires in-person work on campus.

This position reports to Manager of Networks and Design and will be responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, modify, and/or support new or existing applications software

  • Write Python functions for differentiating configuration files and data integrity checks

  • Develop updated network weathermaps; May include researching Grafana to integrate with other tools in use for network weathermap functionality and related automation

  • May design and implement new features and/or integrations for existing software
