We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit.

As part of a hardworking team of engineering professionals, you will design, analyze, and testavionics enclosures for electronic componentson various spacecrafts. This opportunity reports to theSpacecraft Avionics section inside of the Space Mobility business unit.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to function in a cross disciplinary team and a multifaceted design environment. You need to support electronics development and trade studies, and build interface definition, specification, and control documents. As an Avionics Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer, you will be responsible for validating requirements through various methods such as design, testing, analysis, and inspection. You will develop and complete comprehensive test plans and interpret the resulting data. Your role will involve generating assembly and/or installation drawings and providing support for hardware builds. You will develop avionics enclosure solutions to ensure high reliability in demanding environments and be involved in the complete craft cycle of flight and critical avionics. Collaboration with the electrical engineering team to create robust printed circuit board systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will perform thermal and structural analyses of these designs, produce engineering drawings, and oversee the product configuration management throughout the product lifecycle. Finally, you will manage the testing and qualification process for the product, ensuring it meets all necessary standards and requirements.
