The Permitting Specialist II/III/IV responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Ensures all site development permits, licenses, and clearances are obtained for midstream projects, with a focus on compiling all relevant information needed for PA/WV/OH applications.
  • Experience with County and Local township/agencies for other operational permits such as Sewage permits, Zoning applications, etc.
  • Managing multiple vendors to assist in completion of projects.
  • Ensures all permit applications are submitted far enough in advance of operations so no delays to our master operating schedule occurs.
  • Communicates operational busts if permitting submittal & issuance thresholds are exceeded.
  • Ensures all permitting jobs and work orders are accurate within our digital working environment.
  • Assists in the development of project plans with emphasis on constructability, schedule, and costs by working with EQT Land, Environmental, Procurement and Engineering teams.
  • Provides field data used to develop project plans and assists others in working with EQT Land, Environmental, Procurement and Engineering teams.
  • Furnishes relevant data to others for completing management reports.
  • Creates and maintains project specific documentation during and following completion of the job.
  • Effectively lead negotiations and communications with Federal, State and local agencies including FERC, USACE, USEPA, USFWS, state environmental protection and resource agencies, state historic preservation offices, etc.
  • Achieves all EQT safety goals and milestones for all projects.
  • Completes budgets on time and within budget guidelines.



Required Experience and Skills:



  • 2+ years of related work experience in construction or natural gas related industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, geology or a closely related field.
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment.
  • Ability to read architectural/construction drawings, specifications, codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.



Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless willing to relocate.


Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
