Seeking a full-time Remote Civil Engineer in support of LOGCAP V. Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.

Your Impact

  • Performs work in construction management, programming/base development, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions.
  • Monitors/manages construction projects for new construction, renovations, and improvements to real property facilities from start to finish, including the performance of pre-construction site surveys all the way to completion of as-built drawings.
  • Provides management, planning, development, organizational, administrative, and coordination services for all base real property programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
  • Performs design work for projects that may include: new construction, renovation, and improvement projects for real property facilities, utility systems, earthwork, storm drainage, civil/structural coordination, roadway pavement systems etc.
  • Interfaces with other A-E specializations as required, in order to advance/complete designs.
  • Interprets and adapts traditional methods and approaches in developing design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that support project objectives and standards. Prepares conceptual studies and sketches that indicate pertinent design features, material, equipment, and specifications.
  • Develops cost estimates.
  • Reviews and analyzes preliminary, intermediate, and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy. Prepares necessary correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, fact sheets, and status reports and prepares or oversees the preparation of final construction drawings.
  • Coordinates all design phases with appropriate managers and staff elements. Maintains current engineering data for assigned projects.
  • Prepares statements of work (SOW). Provides technical review of A&E design calculations, cost estimates, analyses, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Participates in design charrettes as required by the client.
  • Uses AutoCAD2022 and other engineering design calculation software packages.
  • Complies with health, safety and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment. Ensures deferral and local codes concerning health, safety, and environment are strictly adhered to in the programming, design, and construction of real property facilities.
  • Understands and abides by the standards set forth for ethical behavior and integrity as detailed in the Code of Business Conduct.
  • Performs all other duties prescribed by management and as indicated in the Performance Work Statement.
  • Must be familiar with and perform design work IAW the USAG-KA (U.S. Army Garrison-Kwajalein Atoll) Installation Design Guide.
  • Must be able to maintain schedule flexibility in order to align with site requirements and scheduling, including availability for meetings with Kwajalein stakeholders, LBS, USG-Dept of Public Works, Vectrus and others in order to stay aligned with project needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
  • Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date. Passport must have a minimum of 6 blank pages prior to OCONUS mobilization.
  • Must be CAC eligible in order to gain access to NIPR-based computer systems, on which project information is stored, when deployed in the local area.
  • Must be willing to mobilize to Kwajalein as required for up to 90 days, at least once per calendar year, in support of the program. Occasional short notice travel may be required, as well as Inter-Atoll travel, to outlying islands/projects sites if necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of design experience.
  • Must be capable of providing, as a minimum, civil design services including preparation of civil/site work drawings, civil/structural designs, and potable water, fire hydrants, sewer pipelines, design for new service lines and repairs.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must have strong computer skills to include the capability to perform basic functions (i.e., manipulate drawings, site/floor plans, etc.) in AutoCAD 2022 or equivalent.
  • Must be available online during local work hours to coordinate contractual deliverables for mission and functional area needs and must also be flexible to work weekends or other shifts as needed.
  • Must be readily available to support rapid mobilization on Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) with limited notice. TDY support commitments are structured in 30-day increments and can extend up to a maximum of 90 consecutive days per TDY, depending on mission and program requirements. The total TDY obligation will not exceed 120 days per calendar year and may involve Inter-Atoll travel, including visits to outlying islands or project sites within the USAG-KA command.
  • Must satisfy the USARPAC Force Health Protection Guidance medical requirements for INDOPACOM prior to OCONUS mobilization, must be able to maintain a Medically Qualified (MQ) rating on an annual basis.
  • Attendance at the Nonmilitary Individual Replacement Deployment Operations (N-m-IRDO) is required before embarking on a TDY that exceeds 30 days.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI (Tier 1 Investigation) for Installation Access on USAG-KA.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required during TDY work. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
  • TDY personnel must fully comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations as well as established post policies (USAG-KA 190-10, Zero Tolerance, etc.).
