Job Description:
Our client, a leading company in the energy and utilities sector, is seeking a Scheduler to support the planning and execution of capital projects in the Atlanta area. This position plays a key role in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules using Primavera P6. The ideal candidate will have a background in infrastructure or utility projects and a strong understanding of schedule logic, resource planning, and risk identification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain summary-level and detailed project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align schedules with project scope and execution plans.
- Identify key milestones, critical path activities, and scheduling constraints.
- Evaluate actual project progress through site inspections and reporting inputs.
- Update schedules regularly and perform variance analysis to assess schedule impacts.
- Generate schedule-related reports, including look-aheads, histograms, and cash flow projections.
- Recommend corrective actions and recovery plans when schedule delays occur.
- Review contractor and vendor schedules for accuracy and alignment with project goals.
- Prepare as-built schedules and contribute to post-project evaluations.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of scheduling experience on capital projects within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling, resource loading, and schedule performance analysis.
- Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Must be able to work onsite in Atlanta; relocation support is available.
