Overview
The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Parts Specialist to support the northeast region of the AOT Fleet at our Saint Johnsbury location. This position is responsible for managing stockrooms and maintaining accurate inventory of parts, materials, and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools. Key responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and issuing parts in compliance with Bulletin 3.5, as well as maintaining a computerized inventory system. The Parts Specialist also plays a key role in facility safety by ensuring up-to-date SDS sheets are on hand and conducting routine inspections of fire extinguishers. This role may involve operating equipment such as forklifts and front-end loaders, and includes providing training and guidance to other Agency staff. Who May Apply

Incumbents must be able to lift and move heavy parts, equipment or supplies. Must be available to work necessary overtime to provide all supply room services during emergency or storm situations. Some fieldwork will be necessary to inspect outlying inventory locations. Private means of transportation may be necessary. Minimum Qualifications
Two (2) or more years of experience in inventory, or in automotive maintenance. Preferred Qualifications
Automotive vocational coursework. Special Requirements
