The Department of Corrections (DOC), Recruitment and Retention team is seeking an ambitious Administrative Assistant 1. In this role, you will perform highly responsible administrative work in coordinating, developing, tracking, and researching recruitment projects, needs, and programs for the Recruitment and Retention team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As Administrative Assistant 1, you will log, track, and maintain the database utilized to monitor candidates hiring status. This includes creating and maintaining a database of contacts for the utilization of recruiters to assist in the procurement of potential leads, applicants, hires, etc. This professional serves as a liaison with the DOC Training Academy, Bureau of Talent Acquisition, Public Service Delivery Center, DOC Human Resources, OA Enterprise Recruitment, and outside entities to obtain information to assist in the coordination of recruitment events. You will receive and review recruitment reports to provide information on the success of recruitment efforts and provide recommendations on which events to reattend. Key to this position is effective communication both verbally and in writing as you will have the opportunity to prepare and respond to correspondence on behalf of the Recruitment and Retention Supervisor. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two (2) days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Elizabethtown.
- Travel occasionally for job fairs and hiring events throughout Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
