Overview

ENERCON is seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Licensing Analyst to join our IT Team. The ideal candidate will coordinate the analysis, purchasing, and renewal of software licenses, prepare necessary internal documents, and work closely with vendors and business users to ensure optimal software utilization and compliance. This position will be based in our Kennesaw, GA office.



Responsibilities

Each day is a blend of strategy and collaboration-analyzing software use, uncovering savings, and aligning tech needs with business goals. From negotiating with vendors to guiding teams on smart usage, it's all about maximizing value and keeping the organization future-ready.

    Software License Management: Track, analyze, monitor, and manage software licenses and maintain a centralized repository for all software licenses, agreements, and renewal schedules. Coordinate the purchasing and renewals of software licenses. Recommend co-terming purchases where possible. Stay updated on industry trends and licensing changes to provide informed recommendations
  • Usage Analysis & Cost Optimization: Analyze software usage and recommend cost-saving opportunities. Contact business users to discuss the necessity of licenses and determine quantities needed
  • Collaboration & Budgeting: Collaborate with business, IT, and finance teams to manage software budgets. Prepare internal documents including purchase requests and business cases
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Work and negotiate with vendors based on business needs. Educate employees on software usage policies and licensing restrictions

Qualifications

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred; Significant relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a 4-year degree
  • Experience in software asset management, including understanding software entitlements and software utilization; Engineering software knowledge a plus
  • SNOW SAM experience a big plus
  • Experience with cloud, on-premises, and on-device license servers a big plus
  • Experience with office productivity tools; Advanced Excel skills
  • Broad knowledge of common endpoint software products
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users at all levels of the company
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
  • Comfortable with continuous learning of new applications and skills
  • Knowledge and experience with software contracts and procurement
  • Hands-on experience with major software publishers
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
