THE POSITION

The Department of Revenue is actively looking to hire a Stock Clerk 3 to join its team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and supplies related to the Lottery for an Area Office within the Sales & Retail Operations Division of the Pennsylvania State Lottery. The successful candidate will also be tasked with maintaining accurate records to support these essential activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you are interested in contributing to a dynamic team and playing a vital role in the management of Lottery-related resources, we encourage you to apply today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the management of inventory levels, placing orders for Point of Sale (POS) systems, scratch-off ticket dispensers and displays, literature holders, terminal-based ticket stock, scratch-off tickets, play slips, and other related supplies as required by the Area Office from Lottery headquarters and various vendors. You will also be responsible for identifying outdated materials, ensuring they are recycled or destroyed locally after obtaining the necessary approval from the Area Manager. To maintain precise inventory records for the Area Office, you will utilize the Inventory Module within the Employee Portal, ensuring that all scratch-off tickets and terminal-based ticket stock are accurately accounted for by reconciling physical inventory with system reports. When notified of a scratch-off game closure, you will generate a system report to verify the inventory of that specific game's ticket stock and coordinate the return of all tickets from the closed scratch-off game(s) to the designated location.

You will handle the receipt of scratch-off tickets, both full and partial packs, as well as terminal-based ticket stock returned from District Lottery Representatives (DLRs) or retailers, processing these items accordingly. For terminal-based ticket stock, you will verify the accuracy of the receipt, initial it, and return a copy to the DLR while filing another copy and packing a third copy with the ticket stock to be sent back to headquarters. Additionally, you will be responsible for deactivating and activating alarm systems and securing the building's entrances and exits daily, ensuring that appropriate security measures are in place to prevent any loss or compromise of stored items. It is essential that terminal-based ticket stock is stored behind a double-locked door in compliance with MUSL regulations and Lottery security policies. Furthermore, you will receive shipments of Lottery-related supplies, scratch-off tickets, terminal-based ticket stock, and marketing materials, checking delivery manifests to confirm the receipt of the correct items in the appropriate quantities. You will sign the receipt to acknowledge acceptance and forward all drop-shipped manifests to the Purchasing division at Lottery headquarters, ensuring that any boxed items weighing over 60 pounds are separated into lighter containers for easier handling.
