The Patient Safety & Quality Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient safety and quality principles and practices throughout the Sibley Memorial Hospital. The position encompasses various roles including coordinator, educator, facilitator, and leader and requires effective interpersonal and management skills to motivate leaders and staff. PSQ Specialists embrace High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and demonstrate them consistently. Shift: FT/Days Education: Clinical experience required such as nursing, pharmacy, etc. Minimum five (5) years hospital-based experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience working in Quality Improvement, Regulatory Compliance and/or Patient Safety. Master's degree preferred in clinical profession of relevance. Preferred Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher. Trained in design-thinking, Human Factors, and CUSP methodologies preferred. Higher degree, if required by professional licensing board in clinical profession.
