Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business which may include nights, weekends and holidays. Wage: $15.00/hour Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday Summary/Objective Reporting to the eCommerce Manager, the computer technician is responsible for production of computer equipment and merchandise as assigned according to production standards. Sort, inspect and distribute items according to quality standards Inspect and identify end-of-life computers vs. those that can be refurbished Install and run software using USB or DVD Prepare identified computers for refurbishing Ensuring loss prevention and process flow guidelines are followed Ensuring quick placement of high-quality, refurbished computers are ready to be shipped Meeting production numbers as set by management Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures Ensuring communication of safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution All other duties as assigned by the eCommerce Manager Work Environment This job operates in a warehouse setting. Physical Demand The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Computer Technician will be a proven leader with the following: At least 1 year of work history High School diploma or equivalent is required. College Degree or A+ certification preferred Experience in POST data of an operating system Knowledge of various operating system including Windows, Mac and Linux Experience in identifying and recommending computers appropriate for refurbishing Dell and Microsoft requirements for refurbishing computers
