Licensed Occupational Therapist - Norristown State Hospital

As a Licensed Occupational Therapist, you will help empower patients' participation in meaningful activities through health promotion, lifestyle modification, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Your duties will include conducting standardized occupational therapy and other assessments, designing and implementing an intervention plan, and documenting progress and outcomes. In this position, you will assist individuals in developing basic functional skills or retraining and strengthening their existing skills. You can expect to develop strategies and interventions to assist patients in overcoming present barriers to participating in valued roles and occupations that promote individual recovery. Additionally, you will participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate in developing long- and short-term goals for patients.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Free parking!
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
