ARES is seeking a Project Manager with expertise in Quality Assurance and Configuration Management for Agency Business Solutions (ABS) in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position will include but not be limited to the following activities:
  • Assist with performing Quality Assurance and Configuration Management for Agency Business Solutions (ABS), the leaders of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Develop quality assurance standards and quality control (validation) checklists.
  • Provide quality checks and assist product owners in improving the quality of products and associated checklists.
  • Perform testing for selected tools to ensure program/project management requirements are met.
  • Support boards and working groups to ensure:
  • Performance management best practices are considered,
  • Provide Performance Management Objectives and Key Results.
  • Risk management best practices are considered,
  • Document risks and provide mitigation strategies, identifying dependencies and contingencies.
  • Policy and processes are understood and followed,
  • Assist in developing and conducting Continual Service Improvement (CSI) efforts,
  • Participate in CSI efforts.
  • Author professional internal and external communication (e.g., memoranda, emails, briefing materials, reports and talking points).
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive communications plans using multimodal methods of communications to include but not limited to SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices.
  • Provide technical editing services for configuration items, ensuring consistent factual messaging, with correct and professional grammar.
  • Document risks and provide mitigation strategies, identifying dependencies and contingencies.
  • Provide meeting and content coordination, meeting minutes, and open action tracking.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum education - BA/BS in Project Management, Communications, Business Administration, or an IT related discipline.
  • Minimum experience - 8 years.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of program and project management experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in quality assurance and configuration management.
  • Provide expert strategic vision and management services informed by industry best practices to guide efficient and effective project management.
  • 2+ years of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge governance and risk frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.
  • Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP).
  • Strategy Management.
  • Tool migration experience.
  • ITIL Certification (desired, not required).
  • Microsoft Project (desired, not required).
