THE JOB:
The Security Academy Trainer is responsible for delivering, monitoring, and facilitating both technical and non-technical training programs for newly hired security personnel and those pursuing career advancement. This role supports the overall mission and vision of the organization's security training initiatives by promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous learning. The trainer ensures that principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated throughout all training programs and workplace culture. All responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with organizational policies, standards, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE:$25.00/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Instruct Security Officers courses on a variety of subjects in a professional manner.

• Collaborate with Property Security, Human Resources, and The MGM Resorts University to ensure progression through training courses and testing for completion.

• Conduct CPR instructor course based on American Heart Association requirements and conduct Defensive Tactics Instructor Train the Trainer with strict adherence to MGMRI policy.

• Plan and manage class schedules, enrollments, training spaces, materials and audio-visual needs for training program.

• Perform classroom set-up and breakdown, material preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering and resource allocations.

• Collaborate and maintain instructional guides and participant handouts for training program utilizing adult learning theories and curriculum design methods.

• Evaluate pre- and post-course data for measurement of learning quality, participation, satisfaction, performance and business impact.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

• 2+ years prior training/facilitation experience in a defensive tactics environment.

• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays,
